| High rejection rate for Australian student visa extension |
Australian Department of Immigration & Multicultural Affairs (DIMA) has reformed student visa application regulations since 1st July 2001. Some significant changes have been applied.
Everyone knows that new regulations have deep impact on new student visa application. They have overlooked that the new rules are also applied to student visa extension since July 1st, however. The current situation shows that the rejection rate of student visa extension has been very high for the students who come from "Level 4" countries. (The Level 4 countries are: P.R.China, Inida, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Lebanon, Jordon, Cambodia.)
Those students have just applied to renew their visas according to their or their friends’ previous experience, which was fine before 1st of July, but not anymore. According to new regulation, you will be asked to provide much more information for your visa extension application. Fail to provide sufficient and well-prepared information will result in visa rejection.
